Missions and ministry is the core of what Isaiah’s call is all about.  The beginning of my vision for Isaiah’s Call came while working in the mission field with the Isaiah Connection. It was later as Kathy and I were involved in a home bible study "Experiencing God as a Church" with Tom and Sheila McAlpine and Isaiah Connection founder, Joe Burton and his wife Deb that the vision became to take the shape of a calling.

In March of 2007, I resigned as pastor of Northern Oaks Community church in Minnetonka, MN after 15 years and moved to Missouri and to become a self-supporting missionary serving as the director of field operations for Joe and the Isaiah connection.  As I shared my vision for Isaiah’s Call with Joe and we began to see the potential for God to do something new and awesome.

The common bond between Isaiah’s Call and the Isaiah Connection is our commitment to follow the prophet's call in our generation.  Like Isaiah, we have been called by God to help to provide life changing, Christ centered, mission opportunities, connecting people in their own communities and around the world.
